![“[Joel] played acadia’s frosh week, i swear to god it could’ve been the worst night. my one friend was crying, i almost cried, there was some drama going on & it was bad. but as soon as joel took to the stage we forgot about it, danced around & had a really great time. we were some of the only nova scotians in the crowd & fucking proud of it. & we let him know it. he took a terrible night & made it the week’s most memorable.
